You will perform the manufacturing of the necessary components. Ideally, having hands-on experience with a variety of materials and tools. You will play a key role in both the shop and on-site fabrication.What you will doSelect materials according to blueprints and specificationsMeasure and mark materials accuratelyDrill, cut, bend, and fasten materials using hand and power toolsInstall fabricated components with supportive frameworksFabricate or adjust parts on-site as neededManeuver, anchor, and secure large material componentsTrack material inventory and equipment locationTest and install materials in the fieldBolt, rivet, or solder components as neededMay perform limited programming for automated equipmentPerform additional duties as assignedWhat you will needStrong knowledge ofsheet metalandroofing materials, including: asphalt shingles, tiles, solar shingles, metal shingles, slate, bitumen, membrane systems, vegetative roofs, etc.Ability to operate automated machineryProficiency in interpreting technical blueprints and specificationsStrong math skills, including basic algebra and geometryExcellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detailAbility to communicate clearly and work effectively as part of a teamHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredSeveral years of relevant work experience preferredRoofing experience is a strong plusAble to move around work sites and work at heightsPhysically capable of frequent bending, squatting, kneeling, climbing, and liftingComfortable working in varied weather conditionsAble to lift 50 lbs.Tolerance for noisy and dusty environmentsUSD $32.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
