Forensic Nurse

Copley Hospital, located in Morrisville/Stowe VT, is in search of a Forensic Nurse to join our team. Forensic Nurse Examiners (FNEs) conduct forensic examinations of victims of sexual assault in a compassionate manner. A forensic exam may include a medical-forensic exam, prophylaxis for pregnancy and sexually transmitted infections, photographic documentation and referrals for appropriate follow-up support.This is a Per Diem position (FT/PT available) wherein the FNEs enter into a pool of FNEs that will work together to respond to calls as needed.Copley Hospital has a variety of shifts available across Full-Time, Part-Time, and Temporary needs. An offer may vary based on factors such as experience, education, skills, internal equity, and market data. Demonstrates integration of knowledge, skills, and abilities for the patient populations served in unit of care.Other duties as assigned.The specific patient population may include children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics, per appropriate certification.Education Required:Graduate from an accredited School of NursingLicense and Certification Required:Active Vermont RN licence in good standingBasic Life Support (BLS)Current qualification as Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner
