The Parts Clerk in Shipping & Receiving performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of SES’s storage plan. The Parts Clerk is responsible for reviewing our company practices to ensure compliance with pertinent processes and procedures.Receive and store Government Furnished Equipment (GFE), kits, and other inventory propertyAccurately enter all property into the database; perform material transfers and releases as needed per all company processesConduct inventory cycle counts, verifying item storage, location, quantity, etc.Responsible for control and accuracy of material and records using both manual and electronic inventory control systemsTransfer, store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods Issue materials from reservations or other relevant documentationExamine stored materials and report deterioration and damageIssue, inventory, account for and dispose of expired Hazmat material per company procedureOperate pallet jacks and/or forkliftEnsure documents are completed correctly and all required signatures are obtainedMaintain Costpoint retrieval records to ensure seamless retrieval in designated warehouse, including description information, quantity, cost, serial lot number, and quantity availabilityMaintaining inventory control over all part inventory, verification and accuracy of parts on hand, locations, abbreviations, shelf life, and lot identification informationMaintain inventory receipts, stocking, issues, and return to stock, location transfers by filing in designated locationPerform other various duties as needed, assigned, and/or required to meet the ongoing needs of the organizationMay be required to work some weekends or overtime as neededKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Beginner to intermediate computer skills—Costpoint experience highly preferred; ability to learn additional computer skills or software programs; ability to accurately enter dataHigh degree of self-motivation and the ability to work independently and multi-taskAbility to read, interpret and follow safety rules, procedure manuals and processesInterpersonal skills are necessary to work effectively and cooperatively with all levels of management and staffAbility to use general office equipment such as copier, scanner, printers, etc.Strong decision analysis and problem-solving skills; ability to draw conclusions and justify decisions. Must be able to communicate issues to managementAbility to perform basic mathematical computationsAnalytical skills with the ability to evaluate data and consider decision impact across multiple areasPrevious experience conducting physical inventory counts preferredAbility to handle Hazmat products as it relates to aviation maintenanceEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredExperience:3+ years’ experience in inventory / warehouse / shipping receiving is requiredAbility to operate a forkliftExperience in aviation maintenance area, highly desiredAny combination of education/experience may be substituted for job requirements at the recommendation of the hiring manager and approval of the COO or higher.
