Research at the OHSU-SOD will include not only basic bench work in the laboratory but also learning how to design experiments: Independently using instrumentation and performing basic laboratory techniques such as pipetting and buffering solutions with a pH meter Generating and analyzing data from experiments and collected health surveys This will include lab meetings and learning how to keep a lab notebook and daily log of activities.Enrolled in or on vacation from or is otherwise registered in High school or an undergraduate program with a minimum of 6 credit hoursDemonstratable record of reliable attendance, punctuality and proven successful performance1 year of high school level sciences such as biology or chemistryKnow how to use basic instrumentation in a laboratory and calculate basic math equations used to make buffersOregon Health & Science University values a diverse and culturally competent workforce.
