Sales / Customer Service Representative u2013 City of Commerce, CA Pay: $23.00 u2013 $25.00/hr (DOE) Schedule: Full-time, Mondayu2013Friday Industry: Distribution / Sales Support Employment Type: Long-term, temp-to-hire potential Position Summary We are looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Sales & Customer Service Representative to join our team. In this role, youu2019ll work closely with the Regional Operations Manager to keep our outside sales team running smoothly and our customers satisfied. Aside from the customer service and order entry aspects, this position requires frequent work with small fractions (standard pipe sizes such as 3/8u201d, 5/8u201d, 1-1/8u201d, etc.) and basic multiplying when preparing quotes and processing orders. Youu2019ll be the go-to point of contact for sales support, customer inquiries, and order coordinationu2014helping drive both efficiency and excellent service. Key Responsibilities u2022 Act as the main liaison between the Regional Operations Manager and the outside sales team. u2022 Provide daily administrative and sales support to help the team meet targets. u2022 Process orders, prepare quotes, and assist with pricing and product availability. u2022 Respond to customer inquiries, troubleshoot issues, and ensure timely resolutions. u2022 Keep accurate records of customer accounts, orders, and activities in the CRM system. u2022 Generate and distribute sales reports, territory updates, and performance metrics. u2022 Coordinate logistics for deliveries, returns, and other order-related needs. u2022 Organize regional meetings, training sessions, and sales events. u2022 Support marketing initiatives by coordinating promotional materials and outreach. u2022 Perform additional duties as assigned by the Regional Operations Manager. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent (associateu2019s or bacheloru2019s degree preferred). u2022 2+ years in inside sales, sales support, or customer serviceu2014distribution industry experience a plus. u2022 Comfortable working with small fractions and multiplying (common pipe sizes such as 3/8u201d, 5/8u201d, 1-1/8u201d, etc.). u2022 Strong communication skills (written and verbal). u2022 Highly organized with strong attention to detail. u2022 Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); CRM experience preferred. u2022 Able to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Problem-solving mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction. u2022 Capable of working independently and within a team.
