Summary: Job Summary: The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is a key member of the Autism Assessment, Research, Treatment and Services (AARTS) Center at Rush. The AARTS Center is a clinical research program dedicated to addressing the unmet needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities across the lifespan. The LCSW provides clinical consultation to assess and treat individuals and their family members in a multidisciplinary outpatient practice setting, on inpatient, and hospital units and within the home and school communities. Insight and direction for AARTS Center clients will be offered to ensure that clients are connected to other services and support in the community, at school or in another appropriate setting. The LCSW works in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors and other members of the AARTS Centeru2019s multi-disciplinary team. The person who holds this position exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures. Previous experience within the autism/developmental disability population is highly valued. Other information: Required Job Qualifications: u2022 Masteru2019s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Applied Behavioral Science required. u2022 Current State of Illinois licensure as LCSW required. u2022 Five years of experience as an LCSW required. u2022 Excellent interpersonal skills and solid knowledge of community resources, demonstrated organizational skills. u2022 Ability to assess patient and family needs, able to ask appropriate questions. u2022 Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Preferred Job Qualifications: u2022 In-depth experience working with patient groups. u2022 Experience with evidence based therapies. u2022 Strong active listening, critical thinking, judgment and decision making skills. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and organizational skills. u2022 Proficiency with MS Office Suite. u2022 Ability to sense problems or potential problems. u2022 Ability to apply inductive and deductive reasoning to information received and identifying relationships between seemingly unrelated events/information. Responsibilities: Job Responsibilities: u2022 Interviews, assesses and evaluates clients and families who present themselves for care; provides professional outpatient counseling and treatment with the goal of maximizing personal/family stability. u2022 Prepares intake summaries, treatment plans and case summaries while maintaining on-going confidential records. u2022 Charts member's treatment and progress in accordance with state and other regulations and in keeping with accepted community standards. u2022 Develops implements and evaluates treatment approaches for clients and affected family members, including individual, family, group or intensive therapeutic modalities. u2022 Confers and consults with center physicians regarding client's progress and treatment; this may include conferring with attending physicians regarding hospitalized clients regarding recommendations for treatment plans. u2022 Utilizes resources within the community that support service members and veterans to meet the needs of the client's treatment goals (these community resources will offer options for referrals to external resources for the client and/or family members). u2022 Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of programs within the psychiatry department at Rush. u2022 Develops and conducts psycho-educational classes and groups. + Participates in clinical training opportunities commensurate with experience for Masters level practicum students u2022 Performs related duties as required.
