CDM Smith is seeking Field Team Leads for our canvassing staff. The Field Team Lead will oversee and coordinate daily field operations for teams conducting service line identification and documentation as part of the Lead Service Line Replacement Program in Pennsylvania. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to ensure accurate data collection, effective homeowner engagement, and compliance with safety and program requirements. As one of the world's top firms, we provide cutting-edge, creative solutions that help conquer the challenge of lead in drinking water.This is a full-time, temporary project-based position requiring travel within the state of Pennsylvania.As a Field Team Lead, you will:u2022 Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of field representatives performing neighborhood canvassing, inspections, and data collection.u2022 Develop daily and weekly schedules to assign field teams to targeted neighborhoods and ensure timely project completion.u2022 Provide on-site support and guidance to field staff, resolving issues and escalating concerns to project leadership as needed.u2022 Conduct quality checks on field data, photographs, and reports to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with program standards.u2022 Serve as a primary point of contact between field teams and project leadership to provide updates, address concerns, and maintain strong community relations.u2022 Assist with homeowner communications, including explaining the inspection process, answering questions, and documenting feedback.u2022 Research and review TAP Cards and other relevant records to support material identification efforts.u2022 Ensure proper documentation, including photographs of exterior property markers (house number) and interior service line materials.u2022 Support the preparation of reports summarizing inspection results and team progress.u2022 Monitor adherence to safety guidelines, permits, and regulatory requirements, modeling best practices for field staff.u2022 Coordinate logistics, equipment needs, and field technology (tablets, smartphones, and computers) for assigned teams.u2022 Perform inspections and data collection as needed to support team workloads or fill gaps.u2022 Perform other duties as assigned to support project success.Minimum Qualificationsu2022 High School diploma or equivalent.u2022 3 years of relevant experience.Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.Domestic and/or international travel may be required. The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.Driver's License RequirementsAn appropriate and valid driver's license is required.Preferred Qualificationsu2022 Prior experience leading or supervising field teams in environmental, construction, utility, or related fieldwork projects.u2022 Ability to quickly develop an understanding of the client's products, services needed, and goals.u2022 Proficiency with tablets, smartphones, and data collection software.u2022 Work requires extended periods on foot, including accessing basements and crawl spaces in various field conditions.u2022 A reliable vehicle will be needed for travel to and between project sites
