Quality Inspector

*Job Title: Quality Inspector - 1st shift - 18.08/hr** **Job Description** As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for inspecting parts according to work instructions and parameter sheets specific to each job. Your role will involve inspecting, testing, and gauging both unfinished and finished goods, including hardware, glue, paint, coating, molding, finished items, and assembled goods. You will operate hand tools and testing equipment specific to this field, use a control plan to perform tests, and catalog and maintain files and findings either on the computer or by hand. You will make decisions to accept, reject, or hold parts, work with suppliers on issues found, and collaborate directly with supervisors and the production workforce. Housekeeping tasks will be part of your responsibilities as required. **Responsibilities** + Inspect parts per work instructions and parameter sheets. + Inspect, test, and gauge unfinished and finished goods. + Operate hand tools and specific testing equipment. + Use control plans to perform tests. + Catalog and maintain findings in computer or by hand. + Accept, reject, or hold parts as necessary. + Collaborate with suppliers and production workforce. + Perform housekeeping tasks as required. **Essential Skills** + One year of experience in quality inspection. + Ability to use hand tools and learn testing equipment specific to site. + Proficiency in using computer systems to log findings. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with calipers, blueprints, micrometers. + Understanding or usage of mic, caliper, gage. + In-depth quality background beyond visual inspection. + Automotive experience is an advantage. **Why Work Here?** Join a union company offering a structured benefits package and opportunities for pay increases based on union agreements. The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Thursday, from 5 am to 3 pm, with potential overtime on Fridays if needed. Steel toe shoes are required, and proper procedures will be taught to prevent irritation.
