Position Summary: The Medical Assistant/Scribe is a member of the care team providing care to patients in a medical office setting. Under the direction of the Provider, the employee scribes by entering information directly into the patient’s electronic medical record, which is then reviewed and/or edited by the Provider. This position assists in scheduling appointments and customer service when necessary. The MA/Scribe performs administrative, clerical, and clinical tasks such as, rooming patients, taking vitals, intake of medical history and medications, prepping charts prior to appointments, restocking supplies in exam rooms, etc. Education Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent required. Certified Clinical Medical Assistant through NCAA accredited program is preferred. Experience Requirements: • Experience working with computers is required. • Experience working in a clinical setting is strongly preferred. • Experience with an electronic health record preferred. • Knowledge of medical terminology is strongly preferred. Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, Day Shift, Part-Time.
