Many More!Job DetailsJob Description:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Paralegal (Family Law experience) to join remotely until we have a physical downtown LA office location. This candidate will manage calendars and filings for the 4 remote attorneys out of LA while helping with the transition to a hybrid LA office work environment. No physical office yet, but plans to have one in the future so this will turn into a hybrid role eventually!Paralegal/Office Manager Duties:Assist attorneys in preparing and organizing family law cases, including divorce, child custody, spousal support, and property division.Draft and review legal documents such as motions, pleadings, and settlement agreements.Conduct legal research and gather relevant case information.Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document production and interrogatories.Maintain and organize case files, ensuring all documents are properly filed and municate with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Schedule appointments, court appearances, and meetings for attorneys.Prepare trial exhibits and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.Office Administration Duties: (once office location is opened)Oversee the daily operations of the new office location (once opened), ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.Manage office supplies, equipment, and inventory.Coordinate office maintenance and liaise with vendors and service providers.Handle incoming calls, emails, and correspondence.Greet and assist clients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.Maintain office records and manage filing systems.Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new staff members.Implement and enforce office policies and procedures.Support the management team with various administrative tasks as needed.Qualifications:Associate's degree or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.Paralegal certification from an accredited program.Minimum of 3-5 years+ of experience as a family law paralegal and/or office administrator.Strong knowledge of family law procedures and legal terminology.Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research software.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in work.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Professional demeanor and strong interpersonal skills.Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.Benefits:Competitive salary commensurate with prehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Retirement plan with employer contributions.Generous paid time off and holiday schedule.Professional development opportunities.Supportive and collaborative work environment.Jobot is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
