Eatonu2019s North American Sales division is currently seeking a Lead Sales Engineer to join its team. This position is based in Long Island, NY, and only candidates residing within this territory will be considered. The role will focus on electrical power distribution solutions for residential and light commercial. What will you do? u2022 Build and own relationships with key customers and channel partners to enhance long-term business prospects u2022 Learn and understand business models to better own, develop and execute sales plans to meet performance expectations and requirements u2022 Collaborate and leverage Channel to execute on business objectives u2022 Canvas the market to gain insight and adjust to ever changing pricing and delivery requirements u2022 Use corporate tools and business analytics about the customer to drive data-based decisions about account opportunities and growth u2022 Collaborate cross functionally with product lines, operations and other internal stakeholders to provide customer centric solutions u2022 Lead technical presentations at customer's forums and local technical associations u2022 Proactively work with factories to resolve technical issues while working with customers to resolve quality issues u2022 Assist the team to develop a coordinated sales effort while keeping management informed of market conditions u2022 Quote projects and negotiate accurate required pricing u2022 Obtain ongoing training on both functional and technical skills What will make you successful? u2022 General knowledge of Eaton Electrical product and service capabilities u2022 General knowledge of key customers and channel access to key customer organizations within sales territory u2022 Knowledge of sales process and value-added sales techniques u2022 Experience with preparing sales proposals that meet customer expectations u2022 Contract management experience u2022 Negotiation skills; experience in using negotiation techniques to close orders u2022 Ability to put together a bill of material and pricing for moderate electrical systems applications u2022 Ability to build trust and relationships with various types of people u2022 Ability to anticipate and be proactive on customer needs u2022 Ability to learn and utilize digital tools and proprietary software u2022 Robust presentation, training, and communications skills Qualifications: Required (Basic) Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s Degree from an accredited institution u2022 Minimum 5 years of electrical industry experience u2022 Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driveru2019s license u2022 Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position. Active Duty Military Service member candidates are exempt from the geographical area limitation Preferred Qualifications: u2022 Bacheloru2019s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering The compensation range for this full-time position includes base pay and target sales performance incentive. This position has a target total compensation range of $144,000.00 - $211,200.00. Base salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
