Description Amazon LEO is an initiative to increase global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). Its mission is to bring fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Amazon Leo will help close the digital divide by delivering fast, affordable broadband to a wide range of customers, including consumers, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in places without reliable connectivity. As a Senior TPM for an Optical Communication System, you will partner with hardware/software/ network engineers and managers for design, test and verification of Amazon Leo Optical Network. You will partner with engineering teams on delivery and best practices to ensure sprints are aligned with deliverables. You will on regular basis participate in strategic planning, brainstorm improvements, and work to uphold the quality bar across the organization. One of the core responsibility in this role is to build delivery roadmap, identify external and internal dependencies, communicate status and blockers to senior leadership at a regular cadence. Meeting with stakeholders regularly to ensure solutions are meeting the needs of the business is expected in this role. We rely on your best-of-class organizational skills to ensure no stone goes unturned and no deliverable is left untracked. Key job responsibilities Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, or related field * 5+ years of technical program management experience * 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience * 3+ years of software development experience * 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience. * Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules * Strong understanding of software development, and its relationships with other engineering disciplines (such as firmware, electrical engineering, controls) * Understanding of software/coding (e.g., C, C++, Python) and configuration management systems (e.g., Git) Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,900/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
