Job Summary : We seek an individual who is (1) passionate about teaching undergraduate biology and neuroscience courses, (2) committed to undergraduate research, and (3) invested in student success. If you desire to make a difference in the lives of undergraduate students, the School of Health, Life Sciences & Education in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University invites you to apply for a tenure-track faculty position to begin August 18, 2026. Scope: The School of Health, Life Sciences & Education in the Getty College of Arts & Sciences at Ohio Northern University welcomes applicants for a tenure-track, assistant professor position in Neurobiology. Principal Responsibilities The successful candidate will be a broadly trained scientist interested in teaching biology and neuroscience-related courses, including but not limited to, cell biology, anatomy & physiology, and topics in neuroscience research. The successful candidate will also offer versatility in teaching or co-teaching other undergraduate biology courses. Ohio Northern University faculty teach 23-25 credit hours per academic year. Additional responsibilities include advising undergraduate students, scholarship and mentoring undergraduate research, and service. Required Skills: The successful candidate will demonstrate a commitment to inclusive pedagogical strategies that engage today’s students, experience with contemporary and traditional neuroscience/neurobiology laboratory techniques, strong interpersonal skills, and the interest and ability to mentor students both inside and outside the classroom. Candidates with experience in directing undergraduate research and with expertise to teach neurobiology, cell biology, anatomy & physiology or other biological content areas are encouraged to apply. Minimum Qualifications: A Ph.D. in Biology, Neuroscience, or a related discipline is required. An ABD will be considered if all degree requirements are completed before September 1, 2026.
