The OpportunityThis position works out of our Alameda, CA location in the Lingo Division. Working on Lingo, you will help build a next-generation technology that enables individuals to make decisions about how to improve energy, lose weight or enhance athletic performance.What You’ll Work On:Lead a team of skilled engineers based in the Bay Area, fostering a collaborative, high-performance cultureDefine and drive the technical strategy for our web commerce and health platform initiativesOwn and evolve core systems including our CMS, payment infrastructure, and other commerce-related toolsManage the full application lifecycle — from architecture and development to deployment, monitoring, and maintenanceEnsure our systems are scalable, secure, and performant to support rapid business growthCollaborate closely with Product, Design, and Business teams to deliver seamless, customer-centric experiencesMentor and grow engineers through coaching, feedback, and career developmentChampion engineering best practices and continuous improvement across the teamRequiredQualifications:Minimum 8 years of engineering experienceUnderstanding of payment systems, including third-party integrations, fraud prevention, and compliance best practicesSolid grasp of web architecture, performance optimization, and scalable infrastructureExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional stakeholdersPreferred Qualifications:Familiarity with modern web technologies such as React, Node.js, GraphQL, and cloud platforms like Azure or AWSPassion for mentoring engineers and fostering an inclusive, growth-oriented team cultureExperience with tools such as Braze, Zendesk, Arvato, TrustArc, and Commercetools.
