This position will be full-time, on-site, and is a 6-12 month contract role. With employees expected to work onsite 5 days per week.What You’ll Do Provide Linux support for approximately 300 serversPerform system maintenance, including OS patching and remediation of Secunia OS vulnerabilities following regular security auditsConduct quarterly patching of RedHat systems to meet strict PCI security requirementsMaintain compliance with the technology roadmap through OS and hardware upgrades, 3rd party software upgrades, and system standardization/automationAddress incident tickets and resolve them promptlyCollaborate with IT and business clients at all levels of the organizationInstall, configure, and maintain Linux operating systems and related softwareMonitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high availability of Linux-based infrastructureDevelop and manage Ansible playbooks and the Ansible Automation PlatformManage and upgrade Satellite 6 and VMwareParticipate in rotating on-call Unix/Linux support within a 24x7 environmentDocument work thoroughly and ensure clear communication across teamsResearch and develop new technology solutions to meet business initiatives and management visionWhat You'll NeedRequired:10+ years of experience in systems administrationProficiency in RHEL Linux 8/9 administration and patch managementExperience with Linux server builds and custom configurationsStrong performance tuning skills, particularly for Oracle database serversExpertise in server security vulnerability management and SolarWinds monitoringSolid knowledge of automation and server migrationsHands-on experience in Ansible playbook development, Ansible Automation Platform management, Satellite 6 upgrades, and VMware operationsAdvanced troubleshooting skillsStrong skills in TCP/IP networking, network topology, and firewalled environmentsPreferred:Basics in storage management, database administration, Windows administration, cloud integration, and Veritas NetBackup managementKnowledge of applications like JBoss, WebSphere, Splunk, and HP ALMPhysical DemandsAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standardsSedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor#LI-NA1Reasonable accommodation statementIf you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to or (888) 824 - 8111.$85p/h - $95p/hThe pay range for this position is listed above.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, experience, and education.
