Our unwavering commitment to innovation has earned us recognition on Fast Company’s Most Innovative Companies list and CNBC’s Disruptor 50, establishing us as an international leader in supply chain optimization.The LinOS Engineering team is at the forefront of this evolution, driving forward cutting-edge solutions that reimagine industry standards.About LinOSLinOS is Lineage’s Industrial Operating System, a cutting-edge platform integrating warehouse management, warehouse control, and automation to ultimately optimize operations across our 400+ global warehouses.This platform is composed of several, tightly integrated applications, including a proprietary warehouse management system (WMS), a proprietary warehouse control system (WCS), a collection of next-generation mobile and web applications, an array of advanced decision-making algorithms, and an API/coordination layer to ensure that all these components can communicate and coordinate effectively.The result is LinOS—a system-directed warehouse execution system that is intended to improve the efficiency and productivity of our warehouse operations.Role OverviewWe are seeking aSenior TechnicalArchitectresponsible for designing the cross-system interactions of the LinOS subsystems and for guiding and improving the overall technical excellence of the LinOS system. As theArchitect, you are at the forefront of LinOS development, dividing work between each subsystems' teams and figuring out how to best leverage our substantial investment in Data Science. Our Data Science team's motto is "our math feeds the world." Your job is to turn the warehouse into a math problem, to provide the platform for their optimizations.DesignAPI Interactions for New FunctionalityParticipate indesign sessions for new warehouse functionality, understanding not just the "what" but the "why" of the new feature.Understandthe responsibility of each LinOS subsystem, so that you can divide new functionality between them and design the necessary cross-system interactions.Collaboratewith the leads of each LinOS subsystem to refine the new cross-system municate the new functionality and interactions to the development teams via documentation and training sessions, so that they understand the role of their subsystem in the new behavior and can implement it effectively and efficiently.Improve OverallSystem Performance and QualityUnderstand and improve LinOS's cross-system monitoring and telemetry capabilities.Identify system bottlenecks and spearhead work to improve overall system performance.Be the "last expert" to diagnose system issues, called in for the most important or difficult-to-diagnose problems.Be the "Overall Expert" on LinOSServe as a resource for teams and individuals with questions about how LinOS operates.Develop documentation and training for new team members to come up-to-speed on LinOS.Experience & Background8+ yearsof software engineering experience.Proven experience developing large-scale, cross-system API interactions.Strongtechnicalarchitecture and software design experience.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work diplomatically with different teams to find a common solution.Experience working with geographically dispersed engineering teams.Must-Have Technical SkillsExperience in multiple software ecosystems, especiallyJVM, node.js and React Native.Familiarity with cloud-based, highly-scalablearchitectures.Familiarity with technologies used to define and document API specifications (OpenAPI etc).Experience with medium-to-large enterprise relational databases.Strong cross-system troubleshooting abilities.Familiarity with modern development methodologies (Agile, CI/CD, DevOps best practices).Why Lineage?This is an excellent position to begin your career path within Lineage!
