All employees are expected to follow safe work practices, as well as adhere to company and client worksite safety policies and proceduresPromote company Core Values to foster and safeguard a family-centric cultureIn conjunction with Project Managers, assist Field Supervisors and Lead Technicians with planning material acquisition and scheduling assigned projectsProvide ongoing leadership, supervision, and guidance to all levels of field staffSupport Field Supervisor and Lead Technician meetings/trainings as required to comply with industry codes, standards, and installation practicesCollaborate with Project Managers, Estimators, and the Sales Team to ensure codes, standards, and customer expectations are met and exceeded on all projectsWork with the P6 Master Scheduler to ensure and maintain accurate budgeted resources and schedules in accordance with bid and actual performanceConduct frequent quality site walks to verify construction activities meet the E2 Optics Quality Management Plan and client specificationsProactively strategize, allocate, and lead job site resource organizationMaintain a professional appearance and demeanor by leading by example and exemplifying safety, quality, and Core Values on the job siteDevelop and enhance data center technical training, SOPs, and work instructions to ensure compliance with the E2 Optics Quality Plan, industry standards, and client specificationsCollaborate with the project team to create and define methods to improve project efficiencies in order to maintain and increase project profitabilityCreate the framework used to develop project metrics and manage the collection of dataDrive continuous improvement activities and support Lean initiatives across the site to align with deployed corporate strategic goalsThis position is generally expected to require minimal overnight travel (5%). The individual in this role should be able and willing to travel as required by E2 OpticsAdditional responsibilities: As identified and assignedHigh school diploma required; GED or equivalent accepted. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or a related field preferredBICSI Certified Technician preferredMinimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction (structured cabling experience preferred)Experience in large data center infrastructure, including technology, quality, and safety standardsMinimum of 3 years of supervision and/or training experience, including organizing, prioritizing, and scheduling work assignmentsKnowledge of general building codes and BICSI standardsPMI CAPM (Certified Associate in Project Management) designation preferredFiber Optic Association CPCT certification preferredThis position may involve projects and/or assignments requiring exceptional decision-making authority regarding procedures, plans, and schedulesKnowledge of the structured cabling industry, including technology, quality, and safety standardsAbility to support Field Supervisors in leading, developing, and managing field employeesAbility to elicit cooperation and interact effectively with a wide variety of personnel, including upper management, clients, contractors, vendors, and other departmentsStrong documentation and administrative skillsMust be able to learn and support new and rapidly changing technologiesAbility to research applicable information to resolve technical issuesAbility to meet deadlines while maintaining high work quality, including the ability to prioritize and multitask effectivelyAbility to perform duties in a professional manner and appearanceAbility to manage construction budgets in accordance with project bids and PM expectationsAbility to work under time pressure and adapt to changing requirements with a positive attitudeEffective oral and written communication skills appropriate for the positionAbility to be self-motivated, proactive, and an effective team playerDemonstrated teamwork and flexibility to integrate across multiple work environmentsProficient in using a computer and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)Competitive payOpportunities for professional development and career growthBICSI-certified training facilitiesA supportive and inclusive work environmentHealth, dental, and vision insurancePaid time off and holidaysThe standard work environment for this position includes both indoor business office settings and construction environments. The noise level is usually moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk or hear, use hands, stoop, kneel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand and walk. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. The employee must also regularly carry and climb ladders up to 20 feet. The employee must be able to operate equipment such as scissor lifts, telehandlers, boom lifts, and UTVs (buggies), if required. The employee may also be required to work in tight, confined spaces.
