Clinical services include cardiovascular services, diagnostic imaging, women’s services (digital mammography and bone density studies), neurosciences, pediatric care (Newborn and Level II nurseries) and surgery, pathology and pulmonary services, and sleep disorders. Clinical affiliations include The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Radiation Treatment Center, and Texas Children’s Hospital.It takes a special type of nurse to work in surgery. Not only do they have to be skilled in the operating room, but they also have to maintain composure and manage a rollercoaster of emotions as the status of their patients could change in the blink of an eye. Most patients will never fully realize what their surgical nurse did for them during their most vulnerable moments, but we do. If you are ready to join a culture driven by passion and talent, here we are!What you’ll do:Assist surgeon and surgical team in the ORCare for patients before, during, and after proceduresDevelop and implement nursing care plan for surgical patientsEnsure operating rooms are prepped with all necessary equipment and suppliesDemonstrate a high level of compassion for patientsMinimum Qualifications:Two or more years experience as an RNAssociates Degree in Nursing or DiplomaLicensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of TexasBLS with skills demonstrationPreferred Qualifications:Endoscopy experience or perioperative expereince desiredBachelors in Nursing Preferred
