Central Maine Healthcare is seeking a Phlebotomist to join the Rumford Hospital Pathology team!This is a Full-time, 32 hours per week, benefit eligible position.Rumford Region: A beautiful, rural area, the town is located in west-central Maine’s Oxford County and is surrounded by forests, mountains, rivers, and lakes. This area boasts many recreational opportunities for boating, swimming and fishing; and it’s also home to the largest waterfall east of Niagara. The business district of the town is located on “The Island” located between the Androscoggin River and the canals. The Island features restaurants and retail stores.Duties and Responsibilities:The Phlebotomist is responsible for assisting in the procurement and processing of biological specimens from patients for analysis in the Laboratory and to perform supportive tasks in the maintenance of related records and facilities.The phlebotomist works independently, organizing work to meet established deadlines and accepts direction from supervisory and technical staff.Properly collects and prepares specimens with efficiency and accuracy for subsequent testing to ensure the accurate and timely reporting of results used in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.Regulatory Requirements:Phlebotomy training or experience required. Phlebotomy Certification is preferredAmerican Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS preferred.High School Diploma with a strong background in biology and chemistry.This CMHC position must meet the criteria for evaluating vehicle operator suitability.
