Description We are looking for a dedicated Bilingual Member Advocate to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in ensuring excellent customer experiences by addressing member inquiries and providing accurate information regarding benefits and plan options. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. It is required to be bilingual in Mandarin, Cantonese, Korean or Khmer. Responsibilities: u2022 Educate members, families, and caregivers about available benefits and plan options to ensure they fully understand their choices. u2022 Provide solutions to member concerns by identifying the issue, determining the cause, and offering clear resolutions; escalate complex cases to relevant management or departments when necessary. u2022 Participate in member outreach initiatives to support membership retention goals and enhance overall satisfaction. u2022 Adhere to established policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines while contributing suggestions for operational improvements. u2022 Document interactions with members by completing required forms and updating relevant systems, ensuring all actions are accurately recorded. u2022 Collaborate with team members during meetings and training sessions to stay updated on processes and best practices. u2022 Maintain compliance with federal and state regulatory requirements and company policies to deliver consistent service. u2022 Handle member interactions with professionalism, remaining calm and courteous even in challenging situations. u2022 Perform other duties as assigned to support the team and organizational goals. Requirements u2022 High school diploma or equivalent is required; a bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is preferred. u2022 Minimum of two years of customer service experience, ideally in healthcare or a call center environment. u2022 Familiarity with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regulations is highly advantageous. u2022 Bilingual proficiency in Cantonese, Mandarin, Korean, Khmer, is required. u2022 Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong active listening abilities. u2022 Ability to multitask effectively, including listening, typing, and talking simultaneously. u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook. u2022 Typing speed of at least 40 words per minute, with 60 words per minute preferred.
