Senior Staff Accountant (Healthcare Finance) Grow into leadership u2022 Service-driven culture u2022 Immediate need Location: Fresno, CA Why this role matters Weu2019re looking for a service-driven accounting professional to be the bridge between Finance and the rest of the organization. Youu2019ll keep month-end tight, capitation reconciliations accurate, and client/provider communication clearu2014so our leaders can focus on growth. This is a backfill (our VP is currently doing two jobs), and weu2019re ready to move fast for the right person. What youu2019ll do + Serve as the liaison between Finance and cross-functional partners; communicate clearly with clients and providers as needed. + Own monthly financial statementsu2014prepare accurately and deliver on time. + Reconcile monthly capitation reports from health plans. + Prepare monthly journal entries and workpapers; support a rigorous, GAAP-compliant close. + Run weekly/monthly check runs for assigned clients. + Partner closely with internal teams to troubleshoot and resolve Finance-related issues. + Mentor and train junior staff as assigned; potential to assume supervisory responsibilities as the department grows. What success looks like + 30 days: You understand client portfolios, close cadence, and our capitation reporting rhythms. Youu2019re reliably running assigned check runs. + 60 days: Month-end is smooth under your ownership; your reconciliations are clean and timely; partners see you as a go-to problem solver. + 90 days: Youu2019re driving improvements to close timelines and cross-team communication; youu2019re actively mentoring junior staff and preparing for future supervisory scope. What weu2019re looking for Must-haves + Associateu2019s degree (or higher) in Accounting or Finance preferred. + 3u20135 years of accounting/finance experience. + Strong foundation in GAAP accounting. + Valid driveru2019s license and proof of insurance (light local travel as needed). + Track record of employment stability and positive references. + Service mindset, outstanding communication, and the ability to multiu2011task in a fastu2011paced environment. + Accuracy and attention to detail, with a nou2011tasku2011toou2011small approach. Nice-to-haves + Healthcare accounting experience (capitation exposure is a plus).
