Diesel Mechanic

Job Duties - Diesel Transmission Technician ($20-$25/hr) Diagnose and repair diesel engines and transmission systems, including manual and automatic transmissions, torque converters, clutches, and driveline components. Perform injector replacement and fuel system repairs, including troubleshooting injector issues, testing fuel pressure, and ensuring proper calibration. Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and driveline issues and recommend appropriate repairs. Use personal professional-grade tools to complete repair and maintenance tasks efficiently and safely. Perform heavy lifting of transmissions, engine components, and related equipment while following all safety procedures. Complete preventive and routine maintenance, including fluid services, filter replacement, clutch adjustments, and driveline lubrication. Utilize diagnostic equipment and technical manuals to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and electronic problems. Accurately document all work performed, including parts used, labor hours, and diagnostic results. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all shop safety standards. Communicate clearly with supervisors, service advisors, and customers regarding repair needs, timelines, and recommendations. Demonstrate dependability, punctuality, and the ability to work independently, consistently delivering high-quality workmanship. Experience & Expectations Dependable — reliable and consistent in performance. On Time — punctual with strong attendance. Independent Worker — capable of completing tasks with minimal supervision. Experience operating a 4-poster vehicle lift safely and efficiently. Experience using a tire balancer and tire changer (TRIRE/Tire). Ability to drive a standard/manual transmission confidently.
