Description STATUS: Per DiemLOCATION: Clifton Springs HospitalDEPARTMENT: ImagingSCHEDULE: Call Coverage Only (Monday - Friday, 4:30P-7A, & weekend rotation) SUMMARY The Sonographer obtains high-quality images while providing exceptional patient care and maintaining a consistent level of quality. ATTRIBUTESDiagnostic Medical Sonographer Certificate OR Bachelor's Degree in Ultrasound Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer certification required (within six (6) months of graduation from an accredited program, within one (1) year of graduation from a non-accredited program).RESPONSIBILITIES Ultrasound Scans. Perform abdominal, vascular, OB/GYN, and/or transcranial Doppler ultrasound scans; produce ultrasound images and obtain all required measurements; assist attending physicians with invasive procedures under sonographic guidance.Documentation. Note performance of scans in patient charts and complete preliminary reporting; phone preliminary reports into doctors' offices or nursing floors at the request of the RadiologistRequired Licensure/Certification Skills:For Radiology sites/affiliates with ACR accreditation, Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) certification required (within 6 months of graduation from Commission on Accreditation of Allied Programs (CAAHEP), or within 18 months of graduation from a non-accredited program). For Neurovascular & Vascular, the RDMS is not required. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: RDMS - Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)PAY RANGE: $35.00 - $47.00 The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, clinical licensure date, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
