To further Blue Origin's mission of millions of people living and working in space for the benefit of Earth, we are building sustainable infrastructure for our transport of crew and cargo from Earth to the lunar surface.We are looking for a Principal level Structural Loads Analystto use their technical expertise, leadership skills, and commitment to quality to join our team and positively impact safe human spaceflight. If you're excited by providing near-term value, solving novel problems, learning about interesting topics, and completing challenging activities, please applyAs part of a growing, hardworking, and curious team ofdesign engineers,you'll be engaged in developing the next generation of Lunar cargo delivery vehicles.Your skill in the analysis ofspacecraft structuresto supportdelivery of safe, reliable, ready to install hardware that meets requirements,whiledoing sowithin theallocatedcost and schedule requirements,will lead to a rewarding career with Blue Origin.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Ability to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)Acceleration, shock, and vibration measurement and data interpretation of ground and flight testsModeling, simulation, and verification of spacecraft launch, in-space burns, and landing eventsFinite Element Model development, refinement, validation, and correlation to testsGeneral loads development for spacecraft and related ground systemsSolid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentalsSupport configuration development and trade studiesFemap, NASTRAN, and Matlab proficiencySupport configuration development and trade studiesRigid and flexible body dynamicsMinimum Qualifications:Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical,aerospaceor civil engineering8+ years of experience in the prediction/validation of low and/or high frequency structural dynamics and loads, in addition to finite element modelingSolid foundation of structural static/dynamic fundamentalsPassion for spacecraft structural/environmental loads development/validationAbility to solve a variety of static and dynamic structural problems using physics-based analytical methods (hand calculations, in-house tools, and 3rd party commercial analytical tools)Preferred Qualifications:Spacecraft and launch vehicleloadsdevelopment/validation experienceNastran superelement experience and coupled loads analysis (CLA) with launch vehicleHyperworks, NASTRAN, andMatlabproficiencyLS-Dyna proficiencyAdams proficiencyWave6 proficiencySEA proficiencyHigh frequency environment prediction skills related to spacecraft and launch vehiclesCompensation Range for:WA applicants is $140,959.00-$197,342.25Other site ranges may differCulture StatementDon't meet all desired requirements?
