Position Specific Description + Serves as a strategic business partner and subject matter expert for state regulations and requirements + Assists with managing producer, broker, and claims adjuster licenses and renewals and database management + Periodically meets with management to provide updates on licensing and outstanding tasks + Gather information for any state related reporting, surplus lines tax filings or data calls + Assists in providing information for internal and external requests + Ability to analyze data and prepare reports with a high level of accuracy + Ability to effectively communicate, work in a team environment as well as independently and must have a high ability to take initiative + Maintain complete and organized files + Trustworthy with confidential information + Assist with problem solving, researching, and preparing responses to Legal Dept requests or regulatory inquiries + Participate in other projects as needed to achieve goals and objectives of internal business units + Actively promote a culture of a high standard of compliance + Ability to analyze and accurately interpret state licensing requirements to provide accurate information + Attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to demonstrate thorough, accurate, and timely submission of all documentation + Strong written and verbal communication Job Overview This job is responsible for assisting in the management and coordination the Companyu2019s compliance activities. Employees in this job provide interpretive guidance and training; and oversee the development of business unit controls for new regulations or new business initiatives. Job Duties & Responsibilities u2022 Ensures content of compliance policies and procedures are up-to-date u2022 Maintains the Companys compliance intranet site as an education and informational sharing tool u2022 Assists managers in the development and delivery of compliance training u2022 Maintains all electronic files, reports, filed documents, etc. related to compliance activities u2022 Monitors compliance activities at regulatory agencies and informs managers, directors, and business units u2022 Communicates new or revised compliance documentation u2022 Provides oversight, analysis and guidance to employees and/or business units u2022 Prepares Executive Management Reports u2022 Performs spot checks of business unit controls, analyzes and presents results u2022 Conducts benchmarking research on best practices u2022 Works with the appropriate departments to gain agreement, makes changes, and revises the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics or Senior Officer Code as necessary u2022 Performs other job-related duties as assigned Required Qualifications u2022 High School Grad / GED u2022 Bachelor's Degree u2022 Experience: 4+ years Preferred Qualifications u2022 Master's Degree NextEra Energy offers a wide range of benefits to support our employees and their eligible family members.
