Job Description

Job Purpose In-house entry-level production of product assemblies and stocked items Duties and Responsibilities Perform low complexity product assemblies according to engineered drawings to specifications Test products for quality assurance for both product assemblies and factory items Monitor functionality of all equipment and report problems or substandard conditions to supervisor Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning and lubricating Produce stocked items in a required timely manner Receive, unload, unpack and transfer materials to different workstations Package and/or label required items along with daily use of hand tools Work with quality and engineering departments on product discrepancies Track job hours through ADP Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area Daily use of hand tools & miscellaneous tasks as needed Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Basic SAMES product knowledge preferred Ability to read and write in English Ability to read and comprehend schematic engineered drawings and blueprints Ability to leanr and master new assembly skills Possess good hand and eye coordination Manual dexterity, physical strength, and ability to perform repetitive tasks Ability to multitask and follow detailed instructions Problem solving capabilities Ability to track fine details visually and discover defects Team driven work ethic Good communication & organizational skills Mission to serve with a sense of urgency Formal Education and/or Training Required: High school diploma or general education diploma Working Conditions/Physical Requirements Standing, sitting, bending, lifting (50 lbs.) Repetitive tasks for long hours Exposure to solvents, paints, and some hazardous materials Working with machines and hand/power tools Wearing personal protective equipment when required Other Assisting other departments as needed Participating in yearly inventory count SAFETY / HSE (required authorizations + broader needs) Know how to identify and react in dangerous situations Know how to analyze priority environmental and safety aspects and implement relevant actions Sames North America is an equal opportunity employer.
