When you join our organization, you are connecting to a committed and caring group of colleagues.We are currently in search of an experienced Part-Time Charge Nurse for our Frederick, MD location. The Charge Nurse at Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health and all its subsidiaries ('Kolmac' or the 'Company') plays a pivotal role in providing high-quality medical and clinical oversight within the organization. This position is responsible for leading and managing the dispensing nurse staff at multiple centers in providing high quality medical care to our patients. Job Responsibilities: 20 hours per weekOversee and coordinate dispensing and nursing activities in the center to ensure optimal patient careProvide clinical guidance and support to nursing staffCollaborate with medical providers and clinical staff to develop and implement care plansProvide advanced clinical guidance to nursing staff, ensuring adherence to evidence-based practicesOversee patient care processes, assess patient needs, and provide direct care when neededMonitor patient outcomes, identify trends, and implement strategies for continuous improvementResponsible for ordering medications and all other supplies needed in the dispensary and for the OTP patients through communications with pharmaceutical distributors and vendersSupervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing staff across the two centers, providing recommendations for hiring, termination, evaluation and disciplineDevelop and maintain staff schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage and skill mixAddress staffing issues and may participate in recruitment and onboarding processesFoster a positive work environment, addressing staff concerns, and promoting a culture of collaborationMonitor and evaluate the quality of patient care, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations (BHA, DEA, CARF, etc.)Manage and maintain inventory of on-site medication in compliance with DEA, COMAR and CARF regulationsImplement and oversee continuous improvement initiatives within the nursing departmentLead quality improvement initiatives, utilizing data-driven approaches to enhance patient outcomesConduct regular audits, chart reviews, and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and organizational policiesImplement and oversee nursing protocols and best practicesFoster effective communication between nursing staff, other departments, and leadershipCollaborate with the Executive Director, the Medical Director, and other healthcare professionals to enhance interdisciplinary teamworkFacilitate effective communication within the nursing department and across other departments and centersCollaborate with the Medical Director, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to streamline interdisciplinary communication and teamworkParticipate in leadership meetings to provide updates and contribute to strategic decision-makingIdentify training needs and provide educational opportunities for nursing staffStay updated on industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in nursingIdentify ongoing training needs and facilitate educational opportunities for nursing staffStay abreast of advancements in nursing practice and technologies, integrating new knowledge into staff training programsPromote a culture of continuous learning and professional developmentAssist in budget planning and monitor expenditures related to the nursing departmentImplement cost-effective strategies while maintaining high-quality patient careAssist in the development of the nursing department budget and monitor expendituresIdentify cost-saving opportunities without compromising patient care standardsWork collaboratively with finance and administrative teams to manage financial resources efficientlyLPN,RN; Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferredCurrent state nursing licenseProven experience as a Charge Nurse or in a similar leadership roleStrong clinical skills and knowledge of nursing practicesExcellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple priorities and work collaborativelyProficiency in or knowledge of using an EHR as well as a variety of computer software applications, especially Excel and Microsoft Word softwareCompetitive compensation starting at $35/hour and increases based onfactors such as location, education, experience, and licensure.Kolmac Integrated Behavioral Health has been a leader in Outpatient Treatment since 1973.
