Join one of the nation’s most comprehensive academic medical centers,UChicago Medicine, as anETLProgrammer - Intermediatein ourIT Enterprise Architecturedepartment. This position will be primarily a work from home opportunity with the requirement to come onsite as needed. You will need tobe based in the greater Chicagoland area. Under general supervision, the ETL Programmer- Intermediatewill solve complex BI and data analyticsneedsrelated to data acquisition, cleansing and deliveringanalytics,dashboards,and reports. Additionally, you will deliver projects and enhancement requests using traditional SDLCmethodology; resolve production incidents, provide operational support, and develop plans to ensure compliance with SLA; and engage with business to understand system requirements and work with broader IT team to design and implement solutions.Essential Job FunctionsPerform data analytics, build reports and data extract scriptsSetup/configure required monitoring and alerts to proactivelymonitorthe health of Production SystemsReview, understand and build solutions as per system requirements and overall solution designPerform quality checks to ensure deliverables meet business requirementsExecute day-to-day development and support activitiesAdhere to IT standards and processes to ensure security and operational complianceProvide operational support and develop plans to ensure compliance with SLARequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant certification in programming, computer science and/or healthcare, businessmanagementor information systems2+ years’ experience with systems analysis, programming in SQL, and RDBMS modeling2+ years of hands-on ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) programming experience1 yearofexperience in technical documentation writingProven problem-solving skillsMust work well in a team environment and be able to partner with both business and technical team membersExcellent oral and written communication skills and good interpersonal skillsrequiredRequires strong multitasking skills; must be a self-starter and able to deliver results on a proactive and independent basisPreferred Qualifications1+yearsof Microsoft SSIS and BI tool experience (Business Objects, Tableau, Cognos, Google Analytics, etc.)Experience with Data Extractions using SSISHealthcare experienceExperience with large enterprise systems andlarge amountsof dataProficient with NoSQL database & Real-time data analyticsExperience with Epic Clarity dataPosition DetailsJob Type/FTE: Full Time (1.0 FTE)Shift: DaysJob Location: Flexible (Darien)Unit/Department: IT Enterprise Architecture - Hyde ParkCBA Code: Non-UnionWe’ve been at the forefront of medicine since 1899.
