We are seeking aTelemetryRegistered Nurse(RN),sometimes referred to as aTelemetry RNor Tele RN.A TeleRNspecializing in attending to patients within our telemetryunits,includingthose needing cardiac monitoring.The Tele RNwillmonitorand interpretourpatient's vital signs, such as heart rate, heart rhythm, respiratory rate, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation level. Continuous monitoring of patients, by the Telemetry RNenables gatheringreal-time data to make informed decisionsregardingpatient care, ensuring early detection of abnormalities or changes in the patient's condition.This position is on a per diem basis, meaning PD/PRNas needed.Shift’s Available: VariableEmployment Type:Per Diem (PD/PRN)Hours:VariableLocation:Southern Regional Medical Center- Riverdale, GAHere are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare: Competitive compensationMedical insurance benefit plan401KSick leave accrualEssential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Assess patients' conditions, including vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and overall health status, to create individualized care plansMonitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs using telemetry equipment, which allows for remote monitoring of patients' heart rates and rhythmsCommunicate with the physician about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, results of diagnostic studies, and symptomatologyAdminister medicationsas prescribed byphysicians, including intravenous medications, andmonitorpatients for any adverse reactionsProvide hands-on care to patients, including wound care, administering treatments,assistingwith activities of daily living, and providing emotional supportEducate patients and their families about their conditions, medications, and treatments, as well as provide guidance on self-care practices and lifestyle modificationsintheTelemetry UnitRespond quickly to changes in patient conditions throughout shift and be able to address any concerns to the physician as soon as possibleResponsible for the delivery of safe patient careutilizingthe nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluationEducation and Work ExperienceCurrent and valid state RN License.Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.Basic Arrythmia Interpretation within 30 days of hire.
