If you are experienced in furniture repair, or you have the motivation to learn a new trade, and understand the importance of customer service, we want to talk to you! Our Furniture Repair Technicians are trained to fully repair all furniture whether it be stitching upholstery; wood and leather repairs, or repairing mechanisms in motion furniture, while in the customers’ homes. Using our company vans, our technicians travel to our customers’ homes to perform in home repairs and provide excellent customer service. Jordan's has budgeted the compensation for new hire employees in this position will range from $21.50 to $22.50, with a promotional increase once training is complete.This is a 4-month apprenticeship where you will be promoted once completing the training program. This position is based out of our Avon, MA store with training out of our Taunton, MA Distribution Center.Why you will love this job.Team atmosphere - We’re all family here!Fast paced physical environment - Cancel that gym membership!Career growth - The possibilities are endless.Great Benefits - medical, dental, vision and 40% employee discountResponsibilities we will trust you to perform:Refinishes and patches damaged furniture including paint, stain, enamel or lacquers; mixes paints and stains to match existing finishRepairs, replaces and rebuilds damaged leather or upholstery furniture or mechanical partsSets up and operates such tools as power drills, sanders, saws, and other tools required for repairCompletes repair related paperwork and other documentation as requiredSafely drives company van to customers’ homes to assess and repair damaged furnitureEffectively educates and informs customers on repair techniques and/or warranty programsWhat you will bring to the table:Must be able to lift up to 75 poundsMust have a valid license and possess a safe driving recordMust have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to interact effectively in difficult customer situationsMust have a positive and professional demeanorMust maintain a professional appearance at all timesJordan’s Furniture is a leader in the furniture retail market.
