CAT Scan Technologist (CT Tech)

The CAT/CT Scan Technologist produces computerized tomographic scanner radiographs of specific areas as ordered by a physician. These cross-sectional images provide detailed information about soft tissues, blood vessels, and bones, which are essential for accurate diagnostics. The CAT/CT Scan Technologist obtains patient history, explains standard procedures, and addresses patient concerns. The CAT/CT Technologist also performs a variety of specialized tasks involved in the performance of CT scans. Basiccomputer experience required Licenses, Registrations, orCertifications 1. One of thefollowing primary modality certifications is required: Radiography (R) byARRT, Nuclear Medicine Technology by ARRT or NMTCB 2. ComputedTomography (CT) by ARRT or NMTCB preferred 3. StateLicensure required- Texas: MRT by TMB 4.
