Accounts Receivable Clerk

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Clerk to join our team on a contract basis in Midland, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for managing financial transactions, processing invoices, and ensuring timely collection of payments to support the companyu2019s cash flow objectives. This position requires excellent organizational skills, proficiency in accounting tools, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: u2022 Generate and issue invoices to customers with accuracy and timeliness. u2022 Record incoming payments and apply them to appropriate accounts. u2022 Monitor accounts receivable aging and proactively follow up on overdue balances. u2022 Address billing discrepancies and respond to customer inquiries efficiently. u2022 Prepare and reconcile bank deposits to ensure accurate financial records. u2022 Maintain comprehensive and organized financial documentation. u2022 Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. u2022 Collaborate with team members in accounting and finance to support operational needs. Requirements u2022 Proven experience in accounts receivable or related financial roles. u2022 Proficiency in accounting software such as Open Invoice, Ariba, and Microsoft Excel. u2022 Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. u2022 Ability to effectively communicate with clients and resolve payment issues. u2022 Familiarity with billing functions and financial reporting. u2022 Capacity to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. u2022 Knowledge of cash collections and commercial collections processes.
