Description: We are _Lockheed Martin_ We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Principal Project Engineer to lead and manage the development of complex engineering proposals, ensuring alignment with company processes and procedures. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering complete and executable proposals that showcase our company's capabilities and value proposition. What You Will Be Doing Key Responsibilities: u2022 Lead and manage the development of complex engineering proposals, ensuring alignment with company processes and procedures. u2022 Collaborate with execution PE to ensure executable technical program plan and with the CE to ensure technical integrity of the proposed technical solution u2022 Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, and business development, to gather input and ensure a comprehensive proposal. u2022 Develop and manage proposal schedules, timelines, and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of high-quality proposals. u2022 Ensure proposal development and submission processes comply with company policies, procedures, and standards. u2022 Provide technical leadership and expertise in the development of proposal technical volumes, including technical approach, management plan, and past performance. u2022 Collaborate with engineering teams to develop and refine technical solutions, ensuring alignment with customer needs and company capabilities. u2022 Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and partners to gather input, provide updates, and ensure proposal alignment with customer requirements. u2022 Develop and edit proposal content, including technical volumes, management plans, and pricing volumes, ensuring writing is clear, concise, and compelling. u2022 Collaborate with pricing and cost estimation teams to develop comprehensive and competitive pricing strategies. u2022 Ensure pricing proposals are accurate, complete, and compliant with company policies and procedures. u2022 Lead and manage the review and revision process for proposals, ensuring feedback is incorporated and proposals are improved. u2022 Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure proposals are thoroughly reviewed and revised before submission. u2022 Ensure timely and accurate submission of proposals, including electronic and hardcopy submissions. u2022 Collaborate with business development teams to follow up on proposal submissions, providing updates and addressing customer questions and concerns. Basic Qualifications: u2022 Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical). u2022 Strong knowledge of proposal development principles, practices, and tools. u2022 Secret security clearance Desired Skills: u2022 Advanced degree in Engineering (e.g., Master's, Ph.D.). u2022 Experience with Lockheed Martin's products, systems, and technologies. u2022 Minimum 10 years of experience in a project engineering or proposal development role, with a proven track record of successfully managing complex proposals. u2022 Experience with budgeting, cost control, and financial management. u2022 Familiarity with Lockheed Martin's processes and procedures. u2022 Strong knowledge of systems engineering principles and practices. u2022 Experience with model-based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies. u2022 Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and direct cross-functional teams. u2022 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and develop effective solutions. u2022 Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction. u2022 Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines. Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
