Yard Clerk - 2nd Shift

Position Summary: Responsible for yard cleanliness, yard safety, and bi-weekly reporting. Interacts with Operations Supervisor on reporting and any issues. Cross functions with Dispatch in the office. Pay : $20.60/hr Schedule: u2022 Front Half Sunday u2013 Tuesday & E/O Wednesday 7 PM u2013 7 AM Major Responsibilities: u2022 Attention to detail and ability to work independently. u2022 Inspecting trailers and the intermodal yard. u2022 2 hour temp/fuel checks of trailers/equipment. u2022 This position will be responsible for the sweeping of trailers and assisting with other yard cleaning duties as required. u2022 Inputting information into computers and preparing reports, research, review, and record trailer inventory. u2022 This position is primarily operating in the yard. u2022 Requires outdoor work in all weather conditions. u2022 Ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays u2022 Administrative duties (paperwork, etc.) u2022 Any other tasks or duties as assigned. u2022 Involve Safety team as required by location. u2022 Prioritize workload and have flexibility to adjust based on position requirements. u2022 Other projects and tasks assigned by supervisor Qualifications: u2022 High School diploma or equivalent preferred u2022 Basic computer skills preferred u2022 Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job u2022 Willingness work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening.
