At Cleveland Clinic, you will receive endless support and appreciation and build a rewarding career with one of the most respected healthcare organizations in the world.As a Physical Therapist, you willutilizevarious exercises to help patients increase strength, range of motion,enduranceand coordination.Because this position requires close interaction, you have the opportunity to build strong relationships with both patients and their families.Often, your patients are dealing with pain, so sensitivity is important.Ultimately, yourunconditional support and reassurance can drive them to work hard and regain their health.A caregiver in this role works a combination of shifts from 7:45 a.m. -- 4:15 p.m., 8:30 a.m. -- 5:00 p.m. and 10:45 a.m. -- 7:15 p.m. A caregiver who excels in this role will:Interpret plans and supervise patient treatments, ensuring the care,safetyand well-being of the patient.Review and evaluate patient response or lack thereof to treatment and make recommendations to the physicianrelativeto the need to continue ordiscontinuephysical therapy treatment.Provideappropriate documentationforeachpatientvisit.Maintainall equipment and apparatus.Maintainthe order and cleanliness of the department.Provideappropriate billingforeachpatientvisit.Assistinon-the-job trainingof allancillary personnel.Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Bachelor's Degree or certificateGraduate of a Physical Therapy Program accredited by the American Physical Therapy Associationor a related international degreeCurrent state licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT)Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)or American Red CrossInternship experiencePreferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:Experience in acute carePersonal Protective Equipment:Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required for procedures.Pay RangeSalaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
