If you arelooking for a role that helps support meaningful, patient-centered care,this is your opportunity to make a difference How You'll Make aDifference (Essential Functions) The Donation Pick Up Assistant isresponsible for loading donations onto the Agrace Thrift Store truckfrom a donor's home or business to be delivered to the thrift stores.This includes packing donations into containers, hauling furniture,arranging thrift store furniture to accommodate new donations, andcleaning and pricing donations. Key Responsibilities Pack, pick up, andload donations Sort and pack donations. Lift and stage boxes forloading. Transport boxes and furniture, using the assistance of cartsand dollies, onto the truck. Secure and pad the load to prevent damage.Drive the truck to the assigned thrift store location. Communicate withthe donation services manager on any safety, condition or quality issuesduring this process. Thrift store delivery Condense the thrift store toaccommodate new furniture donations. Unload, clean, price and stagefurniture donations strategically on the thrift store sales floor. Stagenon-furniture donation totes and speed boxes in the stockroom. Clean,price and display non-furniture donations in partnership with the thriftstore team. Other Duties Participate in internal work groups, meetingsand committees relative to position responsibilities. You Bring(Qualifications) High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination ofeducation and work experience Valid driver's license, auto insurance,and access to a reliable vehicle Ability to drive a 15' box truck.Beginning Microsoft Office Suite skills Ability to work effectively andcooperatively with others Experience using industry specific softwareAbility to communicate effectively verbally and in writing Ability to beflexible in time and task to meet organizational needs Ability tomaintain confidentiality about patients, families, caregivers, staff,donors, and organizational intellectual property. Ability to work atvarious Agrace locations. Performemergency repairs, such as changing tires or installing light bulbs,fuses, tire chains, or spark plugs. Present bills and receipts andcollect payments for goods delivered or loaded. Report any mechanicalproblems encountered with vehicles. Maintain records, such as vehiclelogs, records of cargo, or billing statements, in accordance withregulations. Drive vehicles with capacities under three tons totransport materials to and from specified destinations, such as railroadstations, plants, residences, offices, or within industrial yards. Loadand unload trucks, vans, or automobiles. Verify the contents ofinventory loads against shipping papers. Read maps and follow written orverbal geographic directions.
