The HR Specialist follows federal and state regulations for completing and maintaining required employee documentation. The HR Specialist must maintain confidentiality of information and exercise discretion when providing information. Essential Responsibilities + Processes Workers' Compensation claims + Assists in completing initial Unemployment Compensation forms and gathering information as needed + Assists with creating Wellness Program content and other benefit communication + Answers general HR-related policy questions and escalates issues + Responds to employment verification requests + Provides HR support such as ordering office supplies, scheduling appointments, meeting rooms, etc. + Maintains data within the HRIS and other HR systems. + Supports HR Generalists to ensure personnel files are maintained in accordance with applicable laws and policies. + Assists the HR Generalists with preparing personnel files for internal and external audits. + Assists with special projects or other HR-related tasks to support the HR function.
