As an Electrician you will: u2022 Provide electrical support for chemical processing equipment, machinery, and facilities. vices, heat tracing, lighting, etc. u2022 Work includes equipment repairs, maintenance, and equipment upgrades. u2022 Candidate expected to become electrical systems and equipment expert in area of responsibility. u2022 High level of expertise needed to effectively troubleshoot and repair equipment. u2022 Implement established preventive maintenance program. u2022 Installation of conduit, wiring, switches, relays, lighting, circuit breakers using power tools and hand tools. u2022 Calibrations using test equipment. u2022 Process controls experience a plus, including pneumatic controls. Qualifications Include: u2022 Strong electrical training and/or demonstrated skills/experience. u2022 Experience with explosion proof and intrinsically safe electrical systems up to 480V. u2022 Understanding of electrical codes for hazardous environments (flammable liquids). u2022 Able to read electrical and instrument drawings. u2022 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and maintenance software. u2022 Excellent safety record u2013 places safety as top priority in all work. u2022 Good team player. u2022 Work effectively with other trades and with changing priorities. u2022 Dependable, good attendance. u2022 Significant walking, standing, climbing stairs, ladders, etc. u2022 Able to work off ladders, scaffolding, manlifts, etc. u2022 Indoor and outdoor work. u2022 Use of appropriate personal protective equipment. Minimum Education Level and Experience: u2022 High school diploma. u2022 Electrical apprentice program and/or equivalent plus demonstrated work experience. Work Hours: u2022 Monday u2013 Friday, 8-hour days (40 hours/week) u2022 Occasional 24/7 Coverage (Firemanu2019s Rotation u2013 two 12-hour days, two 12-hour nights four days Rest). u2022 Willing to work some overtime, as needed, to support production.
