Current CRNA certification and Ohio APRN licensure (or eligibility). Pediatric experience preferred but not required - comprehensive orientation and support provided.Choose 32 to 40 hours/weekAt least 50% of scheduled shifts must be either 10-hour (07:00-17:30) or 12-hour (07:00-19:30) shifts.Your career as a CRNA at Cincinnati Children's is more than a role - it's a chance to change lives.Apply today and discover the difference of practicing in a place where your expertise matters most.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES Preoperative Assessment/Evaluation - Conduct preoperative evaluation. Equipment - Prepare appropriate equipment for administration of anesthesia. Process involves, but is not limited to, checking machines, appropriate small equipment, blood pressure cuffs, endotracheal tubes, and drugs for the conduit of anesthesia. Report any malfunctioning equipment. Intraoperative Clinical Care - Administer anesthesia only under the direct supervision of a faculty or staff physician anesthesiologist. Administer anesthesia, giving drugs and monitoring vital signs and other indicators of anesthesia's effects on patients. The regular, frequent and accurate recording of patient's condition during and immediately following the administration of anesthetic drugs is required. Postoperative Follow-up - Conduct postoperative follow-up in consultation with the attending anesthesiologist. Accompany the patient to the PACU assuring that the patient's condition is optimal. Visit in-house with the patient within 24 - 48 hours following anesthesia to assess post-anesthetic recovery. Research - With the approval of the Department of Anesthesiology's Research Committee, direct and/or facilitate the development of research projects within the Department and/or the Medical Center. Adhere to all CCHMC and regulatory requirement with respect to the conduct of research activities.Scope for subspecialty role will not exceed the scope of the collaborating or supervising MDJOB QUALIFICATIONS Masters degree in related field.
