Job Title: Marketing & Communications Manager Reports to: Chief Executive OfficerEmployment Status: Full Time, ExemptPay Grade: Tier 7 - $64,896-$74,630 POSITION SUMMARY:Jaunt seeks a mission-driven and creative Marketing & Communications Manager to lead brand storytelling and community engagement across all service lines. This role develops and implements strategies that promote awareness, strengthen public trust, and highlight the impact of Jaunt's transportation services. The ideal candidate is both strategic and hands-on, able to craft compelling narratives, manage digital platforms, and ensure consistent, high-quality messaging across all audiences. SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Messaging & StrategyLead and maintain messaging framework across all service lines and communication channelsServe as brand guardian, ensuring alignment in tone, visuals, and messaging across platformsSupport leadership in public-facing messaging (press, public meetings, funding partners)Storytelling & CampaignsDevelop and lead storytelling initiatives that showcase Jaunt's mission and community impactSource and elevate authentic stories from riders, employees, and partnersCollaborate with creative vendors, photographers, and videographers to bring stories to life through multimedia campaignsContent Oversight & EditingWrite, edit, and manage content across digital and print (website, social media, email, brochures, signage, etc.)Coordinate the design and production of creative assets in collaboration with external vendorsEnsure consistency and timely delivery of internal and external communicationsDigital EngagementManage social media channels and overall digital marketing strategyDevelop content calendars, grow engagement, monitor analytics, and grow online engagementCoordinate paid promotions or digital ad campaigns as neededOversee website updates in coordination with internal teams or external vendorsInternal CoordinationServe as communications liaison across departments to align key messages between operations, planning and leadershipAct as primary point of contact for consultants, creative vendors, and media partnersParticipate in cross-functional meetings to identify communication opportunities and organizational prioritiesREQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS:Based in the Charlottesville area; hybrid work schedules will be considered Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skillsExperience managing creative vendors, contractors, or agenciesStrong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple prioritiesPassion for community engagement, transportation, or public serviceFamiliarity with digital tools- i.e.: Mailchimp, Canva, Microsoft Teams, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. Experience managing social media content and advertising Spanish language proficiency a plus EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in communication, marketing, or equivalent professional experience required. 5+ years of experience in communications, strategic marketing, or public affairs preferred SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:Employment is contingent upon successfully completing and passing a pre-employment drug screen.
