Job Title: Maintenance SupervisorFLSA Status: ExemptReports to: Director of ManufacturingSupervises: Maintenance 1st and 2nd shift crewsTravel: As needed according to the essential functions of the positionDepartment: MaintenanceJOB PURPOSE: The Maintenance Supervisor will provide direct supervision of the entire maintenance department crew. This position is responsible for coordinating the service and maintenance of equipment, buildings, and grounds, and for ensuring daily reductions in unscheduled downtime in production. Essential duties and responsibilitiesSupervises and assigns work for Maintenance employeesEnsure work was completed efficiently, cost-effectively, and promptly.Determines material, equipment, and supplies to be used. Transfer equipment and personnel from one project to another as necessaryEnsure all safety, housekeeping, and environmental rules and guidelines are followed.Ensure all pertinent data related to maintenance activities are correct and documented accordingly to company and regulatory regulationsCoordinates or installs, inspects, repairs, and maintains the electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and other related systems in all locationsCoordinates renovations of existing facilities and the construction of new facilitiesOversee and inspect outside contractors on any electrical, plumbing, and mechanical projectsDrive improvements in maintenance performance indicatorsActively participate in all departmental training and continuous improvement activitiesAdhere to all current SOPs, procedures, and quality requirementsPerform other job-related duties and responsibilities as assignedQualifications/Requirements5+ years of progressive maintenance experience Thorough working knowledge of all tools, procedures, and methods utilized in an industrial maintenance environmentThorough working knowledge of all electrical and mechanical systems in an industrial environmentThorough working knowledge of all electronic applications in an industrial environmentExperience with metalworking and fabrication equipmentAble to troubleshoot on mechanical and electrical systemsHands-on, engaging on-floor activity, ability to develop employeesProduction and/or Warehouse experience required, food manufacturing a plusAble to manage several plant-wide tasks concurrentlyFamiliar with all applicable safety and environmental codes, rules, and regulations as appliedMust be flexible with hours, possibility for OTFrequently required to lift and/or push up to 50lbsPossession of a current and valid drivers licenseHigh School Degree requiredAssociate's Degree preferred Computer literacySkills/AbilitiesAbility to prioritize and learn quicklyGood verbal and written communication skillsAbility to multitaskStrong attention to detailStrong organizational skills.Analytical and mechanically inclinedMust be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divideBilingual English/Spanish a plus.Physical DemandsThe physical requirements described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. We offer a competitive compensation package with benefits. The hourly rate for this role will be $29 to $35; with a $1/hour shift differential for 2nd shift. This position is eligible for an annual bonus (based on the incentive program terms and conditions).
