AutoCAD/Take-Off Technician

The AutoCAD/Take-Off Technician is responsible for assisting the Estimators, calculating accurate take-off quantities, plan reviews, and data entry for jobs that are being bid.AutoCAD/Take-Off Technician- What Will You Do?Assist Estimators in the bidding process through accurate calculations of take-off quantities of dirt, concrete, blacktop, stone, pipe, geotextile, and other miscellaneous materials using AutoCAD.Learn to read plans and project specifications.Learn to use PennDOT and PTC standards and Special Provisions as they relate to work being bid.Learn to identify incidental items of work that require material take-off.Correspondence with material suppliers and subcontractors in calculating an accurate take-off.Assist in the entry of subcontractor quotes in Heavy Bid.Attend meetings and training as required.Perform assigned work in accordance with applicable safety polies.Assist the engineering department as able and as needed.Other tasks that may be needed to provide a responsible bid.Perform other duties as assigned.Requirements - Who Are We Looking For?Associates Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or Surveying.
