Job DescriptionWe’re looking for a caring, dependable Veterinary Technician Assistant to support our team and help ensure top-quality care for every patient and client who walks through our doors.About the Role:As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you’ll be an essential part of our day-to-day operations. You’ll support our veterinarians and technicians by keeping the hospital clean, organized, and fully stocked—while learning the flow of the clinic and gradually taking on more hands-on responsibilities with patients.Primary responsibilities include:Cleaning and maintaining all hospital areas to ensure a safe, sanitary environmentRestocking exam rooms, treatment areas, and suppliesLearning hospital protocols and assisting with patient handling and careSafely restraining animals during exams or procedures (with training)Providing support to the veterinary team during appointments and treatmentsInteracting with clients and pets in a warm, professional mannerQualificationsWe’re looking for:2+ years of veterinary experience preferred Compassionate, calm, and team-oriented mindsetStrong communication and customer service skillsAble to multitask and stay organized in a busy clinicFast learner with attention to detail and a can-do attitudePunctual, dependable, and ready to workComfortable receiving and applying constructive feedbackA self-starter with a desire to continually grow and improveExperience with animal handling, lab samples, or medical support is a plus, but not requiredAdditional InformationJob Type: Full-time and Part-timeHospital Hours: Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 6:00 pm, Saturday 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, Sunday 9:00 am - 3:00 pmPay: $20-$28/hrWe offer our staff:Comprehensive Benefits (health, dental, vision, liability, 401k & 401K matching program, life & supplemental insurance, HSA, & FSA) Employee Assistance Program Paid Vacation and Sick Time for ALL Employees Paid Bereavement Program Paid Parental Leave Program Competitive Compensation Continuing Education Allowance (applies to licensed/registered/certified roles)Tuition Assistance Program Access to a CVA/CVT/CVPM Partnership through Penn Foster Career Development Opportunities Referral Bonus Program for most positions!
