Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance, location and salary range at the time of the offer._ Responsibilities Serve as a unit-based clinical quality and patient safety expert, growing and developing caregivers in a specific clinical area, in collaboration with clinical leaders and medical staff. Drive nursing quality indicators and evidence-based practice guidelines to improve patient outcomes. + Serve as unit-based resource and support to clinical leaders and caregivers to improves clinical quality and patient safety outcomes. Identify opportunities to improve quality and safety outcomes. Lead improvement plans. + Serve as coach and mentor for caregivers in an assigned unit(s). Support and grow nurse practice development in real-time. Work collaboratively with caregivers, clinical educators, preceptors and leaders in patient safety and quality activities. Collaborate with clinical leaders in identifying gaps and developing plans to improve professional growth, skills and competencies. + Support clinical leaders in aggregating and interpreting various quality/patient safety data with a focus on using this data to drive improved care outcomes and nursing practice. + Serve as the nursing unit(s) subject matter expert for root cause analyses deemed necessary to promote and ensure high reliability. + Serve as a key change agent, in partnership with national and local Patient Safety and Quality team members, to improve clinical quality, safety and reduce risk. + Extend clinical education within the nursing unit(s) per clinical practice changes or focused improvements, in partnership with Clinical Professional Development. Requirements Licensure / Certification / Registration: + BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. + Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. + One or more of the following required: + Cert Critical Care Reg Nurse specializing in Cardiac Rehabilitation credentialed from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. + Cert Nurse - Operating Room specializing in Operating Room credentialed from the Competency & Credentialing Institute (CCI) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Education: + Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire. Additional Preferences + RN license with experience in oncology and healthcare management preferred. + Ability to navigate complex regulatory landscape. + Understanding of current CoC standards and requirements. + Knowledge of the cancer disease process, medical, and terminology. + Excellent oral and written communication and public speaking skills. + Ability to interpret and analyze data to drive quality improvement.
