Collections Specialist

Description A large manufacturing and distribution company in Vista is seeking a Collections Specialist with strong analytical skills and exceptional customer service. This role is best for someone who enjoys researching account discrepancies, digging deep into invoices, and ensuring that high-volume B2B accounts remain current. Youu2019ll work directly with customers, sales reps, and internal departments to resolve issues before they escalate. This company experiences frequent purchase order changes, recurring shipments, and multi-location billingu2014so attention to detail, professionalism, and accuracy are essential. Responsibilities: + Monitor high-volume AR aging and follow up on past due accounts across national and international customers + Identify, analyze, and resolve invoice discrepancies related to pricing, freight, quantity, and PO mismatches + Work cross-functionally with customer service, shipping, and sales to ensure billing accuracy + Document all interactions and maintain detailed records of payment commitments + Recommend credit holds, escalate delinquent accounts, and support write-off review + Manage credit applications and assist with credit limit adjustments based on payment history + Prepare weekly and monthly AR status reports for leadership Requirements + 2u20134 years of collections or AR experience in manufacturing or distribution + Familiarity with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite preferred) + Strong problem-solving skills when handling high-volume, multi-PO discrepancies + Ability to remain calm and professional with difficult accounts Robert Half is the worldu2019s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
