Job Title: Commercial Carpenter Job Description We are seeking skilled Commercial Carpenters to work on projects involving installation of steel stud framing, drop ceilings, doors, windows, acoustical ceilings, and more. This opening is for a large and well established General Contractor that has projects throughout Long Island and NYC. All projects are commercial new construction or renovation projects. Responsibilities + Work on carpentry projects focusing on steel stud framing, drop ceilings, and acoustical ceilings. + Install doors, windows, and other necessary components with accuracy and precision. + Read and interpret blueprints + Ensure the proper use of tools such as hammers, tool belts, carpentry hand tools, speed squares, torpedo levels, and cordless drills. + Maintain a productive work environment by following directions precisely and adhering to project timelines. + Enforce safety protocols, including the constant use of PPE and adherence to site regulations. Essential Skills + Must have experience working as a Carpenter preferably in a commercial setting + Proficiency in steel stud framing and acoustical ceiling installation. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints accurately. + Experience with drop ceilings, door installation, and finish carpentry. + Strong measuring and cutting skills. + OSHA 30 certification is required.
