Sr Manager of Accounting - Financial Reporting

Job#: 3013367 Job Description: Apex Systems is looking to hire a fully remote Senior Manager of Accounting - Financial Reporting for our client based out of Greensboro, NC, working EST office hours. This assignment is anticipated to be a 3-6 month contract; however, Apex Systems cannot guarantee the length of this assignment. This will also have a first shift Monday-Friday schedule with potential overtime for month end reporting.Responsibilities:Prepare and analyze consolidated monthly financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements, and key account details, providing insights into trends and variances.Oversee regional consolidation for multiple entities and resolve related issues.Review and approve top-side journal entries and ensure accurate reporting in financial systems.Support quarterly and annual SEC reporting requirements (10-Q and 10-K).Document accounting analyses and conclusions for complex matters in quarterly memos.Research technical accounting issues and ensure compliance with applicable standards.Prepare ad hoc financial analyses for customer proposals and reporting needs.Assist with external audit activities and ensure compliance with SOX requirements.Maintain strong internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure processes.Supervise and mentor senior-level accounting staff.Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required.Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including multi-entity consolidations and financial statement preparation.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including advanced Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables).Experience with reporting tools such as HFM and Power BI.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams.Ability to manage priorities in a fast-paced environment and lead direct reports effectively.Public accounting experience in audit or advisory roles.Technical accounting expertise, including researching and applying new standards.Experience in logistics or transportation industry.Hourly pay negotiable based upon experience.
