Job Description

BayCare Medical Group(BMG) is a physician-led multi-specialty medical group seeking an experiencedboard-certifiedInterventional Cardiologist to join our growing team at Winter Haven Hospital and Bartow Regional Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with heart conditions, performing catheter-based procedures (PCI), and providing comprehensive care for both acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with other members of the regional cardiology team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. Practice Description: Robust outpatient and elective procedure practice.Emergent PCI program jointly covered by community cardiologists such as STEMI at Winter Haven Hospital and Bartow Regional Medical Center.Newly expanded, full-service office practice location with echo, stress test, remote monitoring.Embedded, well-experienced APP with both inpatient and outpatient roles to assist in care and efficiency of the practice in Bartow and will include APP support at Winter Haven.BMG partners in general and EP cardiologyOrganization of cardiology services in BayCare Heart and Vascular Institute (HVI) with specific HVI medical and administrative leadership.Key Responsibilities:Perform diagnostic procedures including cardiac catheterization, angiography, intravascular ultrasound (IVUS), and fractional flow reserve (FFR) to evaluate the severity and extent of cardiovascular diseases.Conduct a wide range of interventional procedures such as percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), coronary angioplasty, stent placement, atherectomy, and structural heart interventions (e.g., transcatheter aortic valve replacement - TAVR, transcatheter mitral valve repair - TMVR).Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with cardiovascular conditions, providing pre-procedure counseling, procedural care, and post-procedure follow-up.Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, cardiac surgeons, radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment outcomes.Adhere to established clinical guidelines, protocols, and quality assurance measures to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of interventional procedures.Participate in educational activities, research endeavors, and quality improvement initiativesQualifications:Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.Completion of an accredited residency program in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional CardiologyBoard certification or eligibility in Interventional Cardiology.Current state medical licenseStrong knowledge and experience in managing cardiovascular diseases and interventional cardiology procedures.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.Compassionate, patient-focused care approach with a dedication to providing the highest standard of medical services.
