We are a leading industrial mechanical, electrical, and civil construction services provider for the fossil and nuclear power, pulp and paper, chemical, mining, and general manufacturing industries. We provide a full range of industrial facilities maintenance and process maintenance services.MOR PPM Inc. seeks a facilities maintenance tech in Liberty, SC. Under direction of the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor. Responsibilities includes air compressor maintenance and repair, basic HVAC maintenance, electrical installation, basic plumbing systems, and other general maintenance throughout the Continental Automotive plant. Further responsibilities include warehouse automation maintenance and repair, as well as parts washer maintenance. Must be willing to work flexible shifts and be subject to overtime. Occasional weekend and holiday work may be required. Must practice safety conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures; comply with all customer rules, safety procedures, and policies. Tobacco free facility.Essential Duties:A Facilities Maintenance Technician will perform all duties per plant safety guidelines. The key focus of this position is to keep operations running smoothly, perform various preventive maintenance tasks, and carryout special projects deemed as plant goals for the overall plant operation.Qualifications:Must have high school diploma or G.E.D.Possess the ability to use the English language to communicate (both verbally and in writing) accurately and concisely on technical mattersBe a team player with a positive attitudePlumbing: Installation/Repair of PVC piping, clearing drains, repairing leaksElectrical: Installation/Repair of industrial hardware per National Electrical CodeRepair and maintain air compressors - 8 bar & 200 bar systems.Ability to work independentlyHave a complete set of basic hand toolsAbility to stoop, bend, manipulate tools in small spacesPerform work at heightsPreferred experience:2+ years facilities maintenance experienceAir compressor experience preferred.Ability to read electrical schematics & troubleshoot.Fire suppression system experience a plus.Electronics: interpret schematics & basic troubleshooting skills - a plus.Carpentry, concrete work, and/or heavy equipment operator experience.Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSignMay be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 poundsMust posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified aboveMust be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areasMust have full range of motion consistent with ageMust be able to climb and maintain balance laddersMust be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noisesVisual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfacesSafety/Steel toe shoes are required.#PPMAs a leading provider of mechanical and electrical construction, facilities services, and energy infrastructure, we offer employees a competitive salary and benefits package and we are always looking for individuals with the talent and skills required to contribute to our continued growth and success.
