The Machine Operator plays a vital role in supporting production operations including operating machinery, performing preparation tasks, handling materials, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Employees will be assigned to one of the current open production positions upon hire depending on business needs. Wieland is a fast-paced production setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Personal protective equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, gloves, and ear protection are required and provided.This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: $19.06 to $20.21/hr for the 60-90 day training period, then $23.80 to $25.28/hr depending on the department/position.Schedule: 3:00pm to 11:00pm on 2nd shift or 11:00pm to 7:00am on 3rd shift. Training on 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm for estimated 2 to 4 weeks.Pay Schedule: WeeklyMachine Operator Responsibilities:Operate and monitor manufacturing equipment and machinery according to safety and quality standardsPerform general labor tasks such as material handling, assembly, packaging, and cleaning of work areasInspect products for defects and ensure compliance with quality requirementsFollow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and production schedules to meet daily output goalsAssist with loading/unloading materials and supplies within lifting restrictionsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with company policiesReport equipment malfunctions, safety hazards, or production issues to supervisors promptlyCollaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow and continuous improvementMachine Operator Qualifications:Ability to stand, walk, bend, push, pull and reach throughout the shiftManual dexterity to handle tools, materials, and small componentsMaximum individual lifting restriction: 40 lbs per personUse of mechanical aids (carts, lifts, hoists) required for heavier loadsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredPrior manufacturing or warehouse experience is a plus, but not requiredAbility to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to safetyJoining Wieland’s team gives you…Benefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!Retirement Savings- 401(k) contribution + match.Work/Life Balance- Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
